SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE

Description

Role: Set Designer

Brand(s): Ábiké Studio x League TwentyTwo Agency x Jordan Brand

Growing up, I vividly remembered the days of Saturday morning cartoons. I watched everything from Sailor Moon to DuckTales, X-Men: Evolution, and, of course, The Amazing Spider-Man. Taking on the role of Set Designer in this project was a no-brainer, allowing me to connect my designs with both the younger generations and my own nostalgia.

We precisely curated and creatively arranged a collection of 15-20 furniture pieces. Our goal was to construct an immersive environment for the Jordan x Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse activation. The event took place at AMC Theater’s Times Square location, serving as one of two advanced premiere screenings, the other being in Los Angeles. The concept revolved around creating a mock-train station stylized as both Christopher St-Sheridan Square and SoHo’s Broadway-Lafayette St stations, respectively.

Catering to a specific audience of 250 NYC-based school children was our aim, ensuring a captivating and engaging experience for the young attendees. We strategically chose all furniture pieces to enhance the event, creating a visually appealing and memorable setting.
