About Me
Hi! I’m Amber Lauren, an award-winning Copywriter and multi-disciplinary creative from Brooklyn, NY. My work is inspired by my Jamaican roots, and my passion for art, culture, fashion, and media. I strive to create visual stories that amplify the voices and imagery of diasporic culture. Seeking to inspire and create dialogue amongst audiences of Black creatives and brands in the name of imaginative innovation.
I have 7+ years of experience across various channels of broadcasting, beauty, music, and marketing. Proudly using my unique and non-traditional skills to create many creative works.
In 2020, I founded WavyWMN (wavy women), a platform and community dedicated to celebrating and educating Black Women Wavers all over the world. WavyWMN’s mission is, “To, celebrate and educate Black women wavers around the world, and the world around us. Shifting the conversation around the beauty of natural hair.” Since then, our words have traveled to over 20 countries and five continents across the world.

A fourth-generation photographer with over 15+ years of experience. I love landscapes and nature, with a little of everything in between.
Music
Growing up in a Jamaican household, my love for music started at a very early age. Hip-Hop, Dancehall, Reggae, R&B, Soul, Smooth Jazz, and Rocksteady are some of my favorite genres of music.
Plant Mom
A proud descendant from generations of Planters and Florists. Being a Plant Mom to my seven “children” is one of my favorite passions.
