The 12th annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival was gearing up to announce its inaugural partnership with Tidal, securing exclusive streaming rights for the day-of events. The lineup included rapper Rapsody, who later revealed her deal with Roc-Nation on stage, along with fellow artists Talib Kweli, Fabolous, and Nas, who headlined that year. As the in-house writer, my role involved covering topics, interviewing artists, and writing recaps for the events. Additionally, I served as the creative writing lead for their “A Mile In My Ewings” campaign with Ewing Athletics, crafting descriptive copy for their official playlist.
