Me and the Bees is a loveable brand with a powerful story. Following the founder, Mikaila Ulmer’s appearances on Shark Tank and at the White House, Me and the Bees garnered a huge amount of media attention and sales growth. The brand revolves around Mikaila’s dream to start a lemonade stand, turning it into a mission driven company that saves the bees and teaches other kids how to be entrepreneurs.

Brief:
How can we start a TikTok account to grow buzz about Me and the Bees Lemonade?
The next big opportunity is to bring the storytelling from talk shows to TikTok. Considering Mikaila’s experiences and lessons growing the brand as a young, diverse, female entrepreneur. Our goal was to have Me & the Bees and Mikaila become a mid-tier influencer on the TikTok platform. Creating meaningful engagement (likes, follows, comments, shares) that would eventually lead to popularity beyond the platform itself.
Solution:
As the Copywriter for my team, The Hive, my job was to create and brainstorm concepts that would raise brand awareness and advocacy. Collaborating with my team allowed for us to birth the idea our a two-phased campaign, “A World Without Bees.” Creating headlines that would #SwarmTheStreets, informing the public about a potential reality and what that would mean for our eco-system. Asking the public general knowledge questions on the foods and beverages that bees play a role in, while educating the masses to #BeeFearless. Building brand trust and making room for dialogue in the name of preventing the bee-all and end-all for our tiny pollinator friends.
